spring cleaning checklist

There’s nothing like the hope of the first day of spring. A new season that leads to warmer weather, giving us hope that winter is coming to an end. The leaves and flowers begin to bloom – it feels like a fresh start and a chance for a clean slate. It’s the perfect time to clear the clutter and give your entire house a deep spring cleaning. Every few months, I tackle those areas of my home that somehow always seem to feel cluttered. The entry closet, junk drawers, and I love going through the playroom and donating toys that my kids have outgrown. Less is always more. But it’s the deep cleaning that I love. This spring cleaning checklist will cover everything you need to get your living space feeling refreshed for the season.

The Ultimate Spring Cleaning Checklist for a Clean Home

When my home is clean and tidy, I am able to better focus on the things that matter. The idea of deep-cleaning your entire home for spring probably feels a little overwhelming. That’s why I like to break it down into one project a day. Approach it by taking it one room or one project at a time to avoid overwhelm. Playing some music, a podcast or audiobook is one of the best ways to make your spring cleaning project enjoyable. Decluttering is the first step. Sell or donate unwanted items. Maybe it’s the kitchen baseboards one day, and junk drawer the next. From the refrigerator and cabinet doors to closet shelves and baseboards, nothing feels better than when everything’s really clean. This is a great time to do the big stuff like gutters, home filters, and windows.

For a more eco-friendly clean, consider using natural cleaning products to avoid harsh chemicals while keeping your home fresh and healthy. I’ll share my favorites below.
