We are headed to the Dominican Republic for our first trip without kids since becoming parents. My husband and I have traveled with our kids, and we’ve each traveled solo. And it’s always a good idea to get away, but life (and three kids) happened. Almost seven years later, we’re finally getting away – just the two of us. I couldn’t I’m so excited to pack for this trip – packing for a tropical climate is always fun. We will be at an all inclusive resort with friends, and will be spending our days at the beach and pool. I loved choosing my Dominican Republic outfits and hope this list might be helpful. 

 

Dominican Republic Outfits for Your Next Trip

 

I can’t believe we’re really doing this, and I thought I’d be more nervous, but the kids will be with their grandparents, and we need this. It’s that time of year when I’m just kind of over winter, and I know we’re going to have a great time getting to be together without kids, and spending time with friends always makes it more fun.

When it comes to packing for a warm-weather trip, a pareo and swimsuit really makes for the perfect outfit. Pack a few tees and tank tops and you’re ready to go from the pool to lunch. I usually opt for neutrals but have a more colorful style when it comes to vacation outfits. Breathable fabrics, maxi dresses, and pareos in different colors are all you need. Consider a light jacket or wrap for air-conditioned restaurants if you run cold. Here’s my Dominican Republic packing list.
