baby boy nursery

Jack is 9 months old, and it’s about time I shared a look at his room. I had so much fun designing Jack’s nursery. I will eventually take some real photographs but get asked about the items in his room from time to time, and wanted to make them easier to find. Much like my girls’ nurseries, it took a while until it felt complete. I never feel rushed on spaces like this – they don’t really sleep in there the first few months and these things take time. I used my second daughter’s crib, had my heart set on this wallpaper, and the rest of the room slowly came together. It feels so sweet and simple, and I just love the art by his dresser! Here’s a look at my baby boy nursery wallpaper, furniture, and decor.

Baby Boy Nursery Wallpaper, Furniture, and Decor

So let’s discuss the design process. It all started with the striped wallpaper. I knew I wanted this paper – it comes in two shades of blue and I went with the darker of the two, but they’re both really nice. It’s classic and will work well as he grows up. We have some vintage tennis rackets that I want to hang above his bed, but I want to wait until he has a bed. I don’t want to damage the wallpaper so I’ll probably wait to hang them when he has a bed.

Dresser

This unfinished dresser is beautiful – I almost painted it blue, but decided to leave it natural. You can apply a custom finish to make the piece your own or leave unfinished to appreciate the natural Mindi wood.

Glider

This probably wouldn't have been my first choice for a glider for a baby boy's room, but we already had it and it's a beautiful piece. I thought about having a new slipcover made but the white is fine, and it's a piece we won't use for that long anyway.

I really love this bookcase. It took a while to find the right piece for the space, and I really wanted something clean and simple that would work throughout his childhood.
