The Best Art Supplies and Craft Materials for Kids
My girls are 4 and 6, and love arts and crafts. They could color and draw all day, and some days, they do. I love finding quality art supplies that will last – ones that my kids love to use. Arts and crafts are so important for kids, and they’re one of my favorite things to do with my kids. I’ve found some new products recently and want to share our favorite art supplies and craft materials with you. I’ll share my favorite brands to shop and the art materials that keep my kids busy.
The Best Art Supplies and Craft Materials for Kids
Ooly is one of the main brands that I shop for my kids’ art supplies, and you can find the best deals for Ooly on Amazon. They have the best markers and gel pens that my kids love to use. I try to stick to markers and pens because they tend to be the least messy, but sometimes you have to give the kids some paint and trust the creative process. Even then, I prefer cleaner methods of wet media. The following items foster creativity, improve fine motor skills, and enhance cognitive development.

When it comes to art supplies, I like to stick to the classics. Markers and gel pens are my kids’ favorites, and I love them, too. They’re easy to use and not nearly as messy as paint. And I’ve found it’s easier for them to draw and write with markers and pens instead of crayons.

My Favorite Crafts for Kids
My kids love crafts, and these are all things I really enjoy doing with them. The diamond painting has been a huge hit with my older daughter, and they both love shrink-its, which, if you remember shrinky dinks, are a blast from the past. Beads are always fun, too. My 6 year-old has gotten into bead kits, and my 4 year-old really likes pony beads.
