Home Tour Update: Entryway and Marble Shelves

Well, I did it. I have a shoot date for my home tour and about six weeks to finish this place before it’s photographed. Typing out that time frame sounds so much scarier than early June, but I’ll make it work. So much progress has been made over the past week, so here’s an update and a first look at our entryway now that it finally looks a little more inviting.

For the past few months, this entry nook/room situation consisted of this gorgeous chandelier c/0 Lamps Plus, ceiling medallion (we added it), and a vintage cabinet. Last weekend, we moved this mirror and Minted art from the dresser to the entry and bought this mirror in the smallest size for the bedroom. The cabinet needed a little height and the mirror reflects the chandelier beautifully. We also added three 14×17 gallery frames on the opposite wall which we’ll fill with photographs from our travels. I’m on the hunt for a vintage Turkish rug and a small dining chair or stool for a little added charm and a spot to toss my bag when I walk in the door and then this space will be complete!

I just swapped out one final piece of art for this new piece c/o by Nicole Cohen. Media console is from CB2.

Shelves are mostly styled. Added another Minted photograph here, too.

I’ve made some progress on our kitchen shelves but they don’t feel done at all. Will take some before/afters since I plan on making them look really different than they do here.

Here’s what’s still on my list

New pillows for the banquette and sofas. Really struggling so I’d love some shop/designer recommendations!

A few small (vintage) accessories.

Style bedside tables and dresser.

Finish styling kitchen shelves and counters.

Larger rug for the living room?
