Living Room Updates

My living room is finally coming together, so I thought I’d share a little bit of the process. Because it’s me we’re talking about which means it’s been a process. But here’s why. I really wanted a little entryway by the front door, so I tried placing the sofa under the window and media console on a smaller wall across from the TV. This resulted in losing a window view and staring into the kitchen when I sat on the sofa.

So I moved everything. I used my old coffee/side table until my new one arrived from Crate and Barrel, and my moroccan rug basically died after being placed in a high traffic area.

This layout felt much better. Curtains went up, new blinds (for privacy), and I bought the most budget-friendly mirror ever.

The jute rug blended in with the floors and coffee table, so I sold it and bought a new one. I got them both on sale so I didn’t lose anything switching them out. I also moved the shelf from behind the sofa to next to it, and once I figure out what I’m doing above the sofa, order some finials for my curtain rod, and a lighting fixture for the ceiling, it will be done.

The space feels so much brighter and cozier now. I’m trying to figure out what I’ll put above the sofa and will share some options/ideas soon.

  • Adore your living room … It’s so cool! I like the style and how you opened it up.

    Hi Danielle,

I love the chair in that space! Where is it from?

    Hi Danielle,
I adore your couch and have been looking for something similar. I’d love to know where you purchased it from.
    Thanks,
