Deck Those Halls
I’m not sure where the time has gone, but it’s November 1st and the holidays are officially upon us. I woke up yesterday morning to temps in the 30s and before I know it, snowflakes will fall in Chicago. I love Christmas time. The lights, the music, Christmas movies, holiday cheer, and the decorations! It should not come as a surprise to you that when it comes to Christmas decor, I tend to stick with neutrals. Except for black watch and tartan plaid. I love a little plaid.
I have decided that I’ll be spending the holidays in Chicago. Since I’m on the paleo challenge, I can’t have any Thanksgiving treats (no pie! sad.) anyway, and the thought of traveling home with Buddy sounds too stressful, and I will not board him. A few of my friends are making plans to get together for Thanksgiving, but I’m not sure about Christmas. I realize the situation I am putting myself in and know that this may be the year I spend Christmas on my own, While You Were Sleeping style. You know the story. Lucy spends the holidays alone (in Chicago) until she jumps on the tracks to save Peter and then meets Jack. An unlikely scenario, but I do live in Chicago, so I suppose I’ve got a chance.
