Happy 2 months, Chicago!

Photobucket

Last Friday marked 2 months in Chicago. After working late on Thurs. night I decided to treat myself by taking most of the day off on Friday. I met my friend Christine & her friend on the terrace at the Trump tower for drinks & a gorgeous view.

…and I fell a little more in love with Chicago.

I had plans with my friend Michelle on Friday night. We started with drinks at Hub 51, met up with her friend Meghan, and then headed over to Rockit. C finished her dinner early and came out to join us. We took a cab to Tavern where we enjoyed a few more drinks & saw Vince Vaughn for the 2nd time. I was also hit on by a 60something year old man. So gross.

Me, C, and Meghan. {notice my Regina Pierallini necklace? l.o.v.e.}. Excuse the blurry iPhone pic.

Saturday morning I met C in Lincoln Park. We grabbed lunch at Whole Foods & did a little shopping {went to the crew — again!}. Had to take advantage of that 25% off. I ended up buying a few pairs of socks, a really cute puffy vest, and a chunky sweater. All for $20 more than the original cost of the vest. Not bad.

I spent Saturday night talking with a few neighbors until around 9 {love the midwest!}. Framed a few Chanel ads {pics to come} and called it a night.

Sunday I headed to an authentic midwest pumpkin patch with Christine & Michelle. That experience deserves its own post.

Another amazing weekend! Happy 2 months, Chicago!

I hope that you continue to enjoy life in Chicago. I might be biased but I think it is in some respects an unknown jewel. I know there are some undesirable aspects of the area but that is in all big cities. Chicago and the Chicago area are a pretty nice area to live.
    Enjoy.

So happy that you moved out there… even if you are 2,000 miles away now! Such a great city for you, and it's great to see you so at home 🙂
